 Constituents Definition

Constituents are those who have a vested interest in the outcome of the program.

 Aerospace Engineering Constituents

The Jacobs School of Engineering is a research based institution whose educational mission is to train tomorrow's technology leaders. As such, it has a wide variety of different kinds of constituents. The principal constituents in terms of curricular and pedagogical detail are:

  • Students
  • Alumni
  • Employers (government, industry, university)

Interaction and feedback from the constituents are obtained through regular meetings with representative organizations and committees (Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee (USAC), AE Industrial Advisory Board (IAB), AIAA Student Chapter), written surveys and polls. Strong interaction and ties through Jacobs School partnerships (e.g., CAP, Triton Engineering Student Council (TESC)) are also utilized.
